Diets are good.  Really?  And how many diets have You been on?  And then gained the weight back?
1 – Diets are good.  Really?  And how many “diets” have You been on?  Some may have taken some pounds off, and others might have left You feeling tired, or weak – unsatisfied.  And the fact that You’re looking at this page says the Diet didn’t last.  Why?  Usually when a person finishes the “diet” they go right back to their old unhealthy eating habits and the weight comes right back.

2 – Exercise is the answer!  Many people just don’t like the idea of exercising.  Just thinking about exercising, or going to the gym, or working out is a negative for some people.  How about “reframing” (an NLP technique) and doing some “movement” or “activity”.  No negative connotations to these words.  We move constantly – breathing, digestion, etc.  And Activity sounds like fun – like when we were kids!  Remember?

3 – Counting calories and weighing food is a must.  First who really has time to count calories or weight Your food?  At the best, this just simply makes You aware of the foods and quantities You’re eating – which is good.  You already know making healthier choices of the foods You eat and the quantities You eat without the added hassle of counting calories.  Make better choices!

4 – We need “Comfort Foods”.  Where did we get that idea?  Here’s something to think about;  It’s not the “comfort” food that makes You feel better when You’re sad or not feeling good, or just need to get away from a bad day.  It’s the association You have with that food – usually Your Mother or GrandMother.  And besides just how comfortable do You feel carrying around that extra weight?  How about a call to someone who loves you, or a hot bath, or a scented candle?  No calories there!
Its not the comfort food that makes You feel better when Youre sad or not feeling good, or just need to get away from a bad day.  Its the association You have with that food  usually Your Mother or GrandMother.

Desserts are just part of a meal.  No they're not!  What gave You that silly idea?  Probably when You were a little kid, Your Mother or Father would say eat everything on Your plate and You can have dessert!  At the time, You thought it was a reward.  It wasnt.  It was a bribe!

6 – You should weigh every day!  NO!  If You weigh every day, Your SubConscious Mind looks at the number and gets discouraged easily.  If You added a pound – bad.  If You got rid of a pound, then it just wasn’t enough.  Even if You got rid of a pound a day, Your SubConscious Mind would still say, yeah, but it was JUST one today!   Weighing every three months (once a month at the most) is much better.  Then Your SubConscious Mind will say “WOW – now that’s a difference!

Wand think for a minute about the words LOSE, LOST, LOSING.  Have You ever lost a shoe or Your keys when You were getting ready to go somewhere?  Have You ever lost a job?  Ever lost money out of Your pocket, purse, wallet.  Were You happy?  NO!  And what about when Your favorite sports team loses?  Not happy!  Right?  Instead of losing how about reducing, getting rid of the excess or just getting to a healthy weight?
7  – The BIG one - LOSING weight is good!  Stop and think for a minute about the words LOSE, LOST, LOSING.  Have You ever lost a shoe or Your keys when You were getting ready to go somewhere?  Have You ever lost a job?  Ever lost money out of Your pocket, purse, wallet.  Were You happy?  NO!  And what about when Your favorite sports team loses?  Not happy!  Right?  Instead of “losing” how about “reducing”, “getting rid of the excess” or just “getting to a healthy weight?  Losing is losing and You don’t want to be a Loser!  You want to GAIN self esteem, confidence, and a healthy body!
