the subconscious mind will then understand you really want to do this!
Now
how about DIETS and other WEIGHT LOSS PROGRAMS?
Why don’t they work? Because they are temporary actions you take, and you resent it. Your
subconscious mind resents it and even your conscious mind resents it.
And they’re just too HARD to do!
Eating healthy doesn't mean going hungry.
Why haven’t they worked for you? Because they’re full of rules on what you can’t
eat, what you can’t do, what you have to do, they’re hard to follow, or they tell you to exercise and you know
you don’t like to exercise.
You feel like you starve yourself
for nothing! Hypnosis helps you change your eating habits and control your portions in a natural, easy way.
How is Hypnosis
different?
Well first of all, you’ll
be given suggestions on how to eat better and how to control your appetite, but you WON’T be told you CAN’T have
something. If you really love ice cream, cake, cookies, etc. instead of being told you can’t have them EVER, you’ll
be getting suggestions that if you get a craving for something, you will be able to satisfy your craving by having a bite
or two, and being satisfied with that bite or two.
Since you’re not denying yourself the pleasure,
your brain will say “This plan is OK. I like this” and pretty soon, you’ll find those cravings will be fewer
and less frequent.
Now isn’t that better? You’ll be getting suggestions that will allow your subconscious
to ASSIST you instead of SABOTAGING your efforts.
Fitness is part of your healthy weight program
Now how about that word EXERCISE?
A lot of people don’t
like to exercise. They don’t want to go to the gym. They may be intimidated by the equipment or think others will be
looking at and judging them.
During your Hypnosis session, instead of talking about exercise,
you’ll be getting suggestions for ACTIVITY and MOVEMENT and learning to enjoy life and PLAY again, just like you did
when you were a child. Your subconscious mind won’t be near as likely to reject these suggestions.
I’ll
also tell you to commit to 30 SECONDS a day maybe 2 or 3 times a day, of getting ACTIVITY or MOVEMENT into your life. Now
I know some of you just reread that and said, uhoh, he meant to say 30 minutes. Didn’t he?
No,
I meant 30 seconds.
Now here’s what happens with your subconscious. If I give
you the suggestion for 30 minutes, your brain will come up with any number of excuses or even good reasons why you won’t
have time to do 30 minutes.
BUT, if I give you the suggestion for only 30 seconds, you’ll
soon find that once you get started, you just might go on for 2 or 3 minutes at first, and maybe pretty soon, that will build
up to 10 to 15 minutes, and before you know it, you’re beginning to feel and SEE the results you’re looking for.
You may even find you enjoy the MOVEMENT or ACTIVITY enough to do it more than two or three times a day!
In
other words, we’re tricking your subconscious into ACCEPTING the suggestions and then reworking them in the right way.
Now speaking of accepting suggestions, let’s just suppose you’re a vegetarian
and for whatever reason I don’t know that. And then I give you the suggestion “you will eat leaner cuts of meat”.
What would happen?
Your subconscious will reject any suggestion against your beliefs
or morals, or any other reason you don’t want that suggestion. Here’s what will happen, your subconscious will
reinterpret that suggestion to be “you will eat foods that will help you be leaner.” Why? Because it rejected
the suggestions that was against your beliefs or normal practices and said “how can I make this suggestion make sense
to me and still get the results I’m looking for?”
Isn’t it great
to know that now you’ll be able to start seeing and getting those results you’ve been wanting for such a long
time? And also, since you’ll be changing your habits, not just adopting temporary diets or programs, THESE RESULTS WILL
LAST!
How many Hypnosis sessions will you need to get those pounds and
inches off?
I don’t know. Some Hypnotists have a set number, or will try
to SELL you a large number of sessions, regardless of how many pounds you want to get rid of. Every person who wants to reduce
their weight has their own past (reasons the weight is there) and a different future (motivating reasons to get rid of that
weight).
What I generally recommend is five to ten sessions, just as a guideline.
Some people will only need three or four, but some may need (or want) five, seven, ten, or possibly even more. Let’s
look at your progress and lay a good foundation to get you started and then if you need more, that will be YOUR CHOICE.
I
will NEVER try to sell you a big program. I treat people like I want to be treated. Would I make more money if I high pressured
you into buying more than you need? NO! Why? Because then you’d realize I’m focusing on my wallet and not your
needs. But by helping you reach your goal in the most cost effective way, and getting you the results you want, you’ll
be sending me lots of good referrals! So in the long run, my wallet will be taken care of.
How
much does it cost?
Since my prices are
subject to change, I choose not to post them on here. But if you will give me a call, I'll be glad to talk to you about that
during your Free phone consultation.
But I will ask you to consider this.
How much will it COST you -- health and happiness wise -- if you don’t commit to getting rid of that weight? What about
your self esteem? Can you really put a price on these?
Here’s what I recommend:
Consult with your Physician and make sure it’s safe for you to reduce your weight
Establish
a SAFE and reasonable time line for WHEN you want to reach your goal. The most important word here is SAFE. We want to make
sure you reduce your weight in a healthy way and not in a fast unhealthy way that could jeopardize your health. Most Physicians
consider one to two pounds a week to be safe, but see what your Physician says for YOUR case in particular.
Establish
your goal -- 20, 30, 50, or how ever many pounds it is you want to get rid of – THEN FORGET THAT NUMBER. Instead, focus
on the number of OUNCES per day it would take to SAFELY reach your goal of one to two pounds of weight reduction a week. Now
why would we do that? Because the subconscious mind will reject the idea of 20 pounds or more and say “THAT’S
TOO HARD! I CAN’T DO THAT!” But if you present it to the subconscious as just a few ounces a day, then it will
say “OH, THAT’S EASY! I CAN DO THAT!”
The one "DO NOT"
I’ll give you is DO NOT weigh every day or even every week. Why? Because you don’t want your subconscious to see
a very small decrease, or even see the same number two or three days in a row, and get discouraged. You don’t want to
get a certain number stuck in your subconscious.
If you weigh every day, do you really realistically expect to
see a big difference? Remember, I said realistically. If you just have to weigh, do it no more than once a month! The best
way to measure your results will be in how your clothes begin to get loose on you and you’ll begin to feel more energy,
sleep better, and others will begin to notice – we’ll talk about this in a couple of paragraphs down.
And
listen to your Enhancement CDs that you will get with each session. And use the other methods that I’ll be telling you
about during your sessions.
And before you know it, you’re going to start having people tell you, “You’re
looking great! Have you LOST some weight?” OR they may even say “You’ve LOST a LOT of weight since I saw you last.”
Either way, I’m going to strongly suggest you put your hand
up like a “stop” sign and say “Thank you for noticing, but no, I haven’t LOST anything. But I did
REDUCE my weight. Now let me tell you about the Hypnotist who helped me do it.” Or at least I would like for you to
add that last sentence.

Let me tell you about Sandra. Sandra came to see me a couple of years ago to use Hypnosis to "lose" weight. It took a while,
but I was finally able to rid her of the words "lose and lost" and helped her understand those were sabotage words.
Instead of "losing" weight, she really wanted to be rid of it and not invite it back. Isn't that what you
want to do?
She said she knew the reason she was overweight
and wanted me to help her stop doing what she was doing that had caused her to put on over 100 pounds of excess weight over
the last several years.
She must have
seen a stage Hypnosis show because she really had no idea how Hypnosis worked - at least not what Hypnosis is like in a professional
office to make changes. She wanted me to Hypnotize her into thinking ice cream tasted bad! Now you and I both
know that ice cream tastes good - at least to most people.
Sandra told me that
when she was lonely, or sad, or stressed, or maybe at other times to, she would eat a bowl of ice cream. And of course,
she told me this was every night sometimes twice - after she got in from work and then again before bed while she watched
television. Now when she told me that, she held out her hands to show me the size of the bowl -- and it wasn't a small
one! She thought if I Hypnotized her to thinking that ice cream - especially chocolate ice cream tasted bad, that she
would stop eating it and would within a month would shrink back down to the weight she was before her husband left her - a
very unreasonable expectation!
OK, now I understood why she ate ice cream - to replace
her husband! But I didn't know why she wanted to get rid of the extra weight now. She told me she was getting
close to 50 and thought it just might be time to start dating again. And there was a man at her church she really wanted
to go out with. His wife had died a couple of years ago. But she was afraid he wouldn't want to go out with her
with that much extra weight.
After spending some time explaining to her what Hypnosis could
do - with her help, following some easy suggestions, and getting rid of her unreasonable expectations that Hypnosis could
make ice cream taste bad and that she would get rid of 100 pounds in a month, as I was talking to her I gave her some suggestions.
Now these suggestions were BEFORE we started the Hypnosis and after some discussion, I told her they would be repeated during
the session to help her SubConsious Mind start acting upon them.
The suggestions were that
pretty soon, she may notice that instead of a large bowl of ice cream every night, she would maybe eat only a small bowl of
ice cream every night. And I held my hands to indicate a small bowl.
Right away she
was very upset. "But I'm still eating a bowl of ice cream every night! How is that going to help?" she
said.
I asked "A large bowl? (and held my hands like a large bowl) or a SMALL
bowl (and held my hands like a small bowl)? Which do you think would be better?
She
agreed the small bowl would be better. Then I said "And you may soon notice that instead of having a small bowl
every night, that you have a small bowl every other night." Before she could object, I added "And then you
may notice that instead of every other night, maybe only twice a week. And then instead of twice a week, only once
a week - maybe on a Saturday or Sunday night. And then pretty soon, you may notice that you just get the whole half
gallon out of the freezer -- (her eyes lit up) -- and you put your spoon into it and just take a small bite, and say 'yep,
still tastes the same' and then put it back in the freezer."
She smiled and then I
asked her -- which would taste better - the sweetness of the ice cream, or fitting into a smaller dress and looking good for
when she was ready to date again.
Sandra didn't get rid of the weight in one month, but
she did get rid of the excess by her birthday which was just a little more than a year away. She realized that by setting
a goal of 2 pounds a week - it would be healthier and she wouldn't feel pressure. How do I know it was before her birthday?
Because she called me and told me she was going to be celebrating her birthday with the man she knew at church. They
were going to a Christian concert together and then dinner later that evening!
And
now let me tell you about Richard. Richard wasn't over eating. In fact he told me
he ate pretty healthy, but for some reason, he just couldn't get rid of about 40 pounds. When I asked him how long he
had been carrying that extra 40 pounds, without any hesitation at all, he said since the Summer he turned 15. I asked
him how he could remember so exactly. He said that was the year his Father, who was a big football jock in college,
insisted he try out for the football team at his high school. Richard had no interest in playing football -- none.
Somehow he figured out that if he were overweight - not with muscles - but with just unhealthy fat (as he
called it) he wouldn't get picked for the team because it would slow him down and he would be out of breath. He wasn't
chosen for the football team.
Using Hypnosis, I asked him if he was concerned that the
football coach was going to come on knock on his door and tell him to suit up for the game Friday night? He said not
very likely since he was in his early 40's now. He was using the weight to protect himself from doing something he didn't
want to do when he was 15 and realized he was still carrying the weight to get back at his Father whom he thought was disappointed
in him
After our Hypnosis sessions, he fine tuned his eating habits - remember he was eating
healthy already - and began an exercise program at his company gym. He changed his eating habits some - using the suggestions
he asked for - to start eating a bigger breakfast, a healthy lunch, a smaller dinner, and no snacks just before bed.
He reached his goal in about eight months. Slow but sure, as he said. And guess what! His co-workers and
his boss noticed. Four of his coworkers came in to see me for Hypnosis for weight reduction, a couple to stop smoking,
and his boss came in to help overcome a fear of public speaking!
Will
Hypnosis help you REDUCE (not lose) some excess weight? It can, if you're willing to use it as a tool and not
expect it to be Magic. The really nice thing about using Hypnosis for weight is you change your habits and when you
change your habits (much better than a temporary diet), you keep the weight off because a habit is a habit. Once you
start eating better, maybe smaller quantities, and you begin to get some movement and activity going (some people don't like
the word 'exercise'), you start shedding the excess weight and then you keep it off because now you've established healthy
habits for Life!
