Hypnosis / NLP for Stress Reduction for Dallas / Fort Worth to Texoma
Stress! So much a part of our Lives most every day!
One big factor a lot of people don't realize, is how much impact Stress can have on Your Health! It can complicate and add to the negative effects of disease. It can lower Your immune system and make You much more prone to common diseases - flu, colds, and allergies. And of course, Stress can be increased by disease - cancer, diabetes, heart attacks, strokes, Fibromyalgia, IBS, etc. Doctors and other health care providers sometimes refer their patients to me just to help them better control stress.
It may be hard to believe, but Stress can be good. It can be a burst of energy when we're facing danger that tells us to Move - Now! It tells our brain to produce hormones / chemicals to rev the body up to deal with danger.
When we're talking about Stress, we're talking about an unhealthy Stress.
It can be caused by traffic, work related, family, the weather, a flat tire, politics, loud noises, scary movies. But the thing is - stress is not equal in all people. Have You noticed?
Let's take traffic for example. You're driving on the highway and traffic is barely crawling, and all of a sudden You feel that stress feeling - tightening of the hands on the steering wheel, knots in the stomach, etc. Then You look to Your left - the person over there is all red in the face and beating on the steering wheel, honking the horn. Then You look to the right. And that person seems to be calm and relaxed, smiling, maybe singing along with the radio.
What's the difference You may ask Yourself? Well one person is letting Stress be in Control, and the other person has chosen to be IN Control and just relax!
What can you do to control stress?
The number one thing is learning how to Control it by using some very simple stress reduction techniques. EVERY client I work with is going to learn several ways to control stress.*
Here are a few of the favorites my clients enjoy. Simply Day Dreaming - about the Beach, walking in a park or forest, a mountain top. Taking an imaginary shower and letting the stress go down the drain. Consciously being aware of breathing - slowing it down and feeling relaxation flowing through the body and mind. Taking a short break, getting comfortable and doing a gradual relaxation of the body. Listening to soft music. Taking a real walk in Nature! This is my favorite!
Reducing Stress is part of every session for my Dallas / Fort Worth Hypnosis clients. One Stress Reduction technique I suggest is Music! It could be just sounds of Nature, or classical, or any music that makes You feel good!
Stress is not so much what happens to us, but how we respond to what is happening to / around us.
Some people think smoking helps them reduce stress. Yeah right! Using a stimulant - nicotine - reduces stress?

You have a choice - You can either let it bother You, or You can take Control by practicing some of the Stress Reduction techniques I mentioned earlier.
You can let it build up into too much stress which leads to anxiety, or you can learn to control it.
Or maybe You have some of Your own I didn't mention! Use what works and realize You CAN be in Control! It's just a matter of practice and persistence.
